Now I'm laughing....
Each weekend my family attends HDC and of course the girls go to their own classes to learn a little about Jesus. I must add that every time we reach the street it's on my ears are pierced with this loud screaming and cheering to show their excitement to go to church (absolutely LOVE it) wouldn't you??
Any who, before Rhay reached the "big girl" side I was just used to coloring pages or sometimes a craft here and there that wouldn't even make it home, as every sticker was pulled off and occasionally eaten by Taelyn! Now that Rhay has entered her new class we have had so much fun seeing how much that brain of her's just soaks up. If you don't know the story of Jonah and the Whale then let me first give you a brief summary.
God had a command for Jonah and he was stubborn and ran away from God and his command. As Jonah was "running" he was on board a ship. God cast a storm and told the crew to throw Jonah over into the water, and they did, as they feared the Lord. When Jonah was thrown into the water a large fish ate him and he remained 3 days in the fish belly. This is when Jonah repented and finally complied with God's command and the big fish puked him out so that he was able to complete the task God had for him.
Ok, so there is the basic story of Jonah.... here is the funny part! Below is Rhay's brief summary of Jo (she gave him a nickname) and the Whale!
Me: "Rhay, what did Jonah said to God?"
Rhay: "NO GOD!"
Me: "What happened to Jonah?"
Rhay: "Jo ate by a fish!"
Me: "Did Jonah say yes to God after that?"
Rhay: " Jo said YES and he SPIT him out...(insert puke noise here)
Me: " What do we say to God, Rhay?"
Rhay: "NO!!!"
Me: "We are suppose to say YES to God!"
Rhay: "No! Rhay ate by fish!"
So if you are not laughing by now, I don't know what will make you laugh! Funny that they teach this story so young! As a 2 year old must think it is totally awesome!!! I mean who wouldn't want to get eaten by a whale? Or get puked out by a whale? right??? uh, right?
On the more serious side isn't this story amazing?! God showed so much patience and mercy towards Jonah! Maybe they teach this in Sunday school so that the kids can bring it home to the mothers! It's funny how God speaks to me, sometimes through my girls....very much thankful it's not supernatural and by a hungry fish! ;)

It begins...
Hello!
I should probably share a little about myself before I start this journey of blogging. My name is Sharon, I got married in September of 2007, nine months later we found out that I was pregnant with our first daughter and then 6 months after her the second one was on the way! Yep, you guessed it! I thought I would start blogging about my adventures of daily life. My oldest is now 2 1/2 years old and my baby is 16 months. I have read many blogs written by mothers and 'my oh my' do I have my share of stories!
What started this whole blog....
We just moved into a new home and you would think there wouldn't be much to stress about it since everything is new but something as small as sprinklers can ruin everything! So apparently no one can program a sprinkler system around here, including the gardeners who installed it. Ha! Anyways, this isn't a chance to vent about that....but that is to blame for what's next! My daughters have a routine to sit at our nook table and have a cookie before bed time and I happen to notice that our back yard is flooding. So I run to the garage to shut off the sprinklers (literally run) because Tae, my 16mo, likes to kick the table and push herself backwards. Mind you, they already had a bath and were in jammies by 7:20pm. Bed time is at 8pm and I thought I was doing so well and was counting down the minutes until my Skinny Cow dessert ;) As the girls were getting their stuffed animals and blankets and every other excuse not to go to bed I checked on the system to make sure that I had it back on for the morning flood. I was gone no longer than 7 seconds and I come in to a smell of baby powder. A very STRONG smell of baby powder. My oldest, Rhay was standing in the hallway as I noticed the powder on the floor...she took off running before I could ask her to come back and find out who was guilty. (Enter drum roll here) Tae came around the corner with WHITE hair! Tae was covered in baby powder!!! Ok, so this wouldn't be that big of a deal except for now I have to give them another bath, 4 unnecessary items of clothing are in the hamper, 2 clean diapers in the trash, and 1 whole bottle of baby powder to replace. I strip them down for bath #2 and before you know it Tae is now peeing on the bathroom floor. I throw them in the tub, clean up the pee, wash Tae's hair (powder down to her scalp), dry them, lotion them, dress them, and put them to sleep. After all that, there was just no laughter yet. I decided to share with my husband and sister via text and photos as I sat outside eating my Skinny Cow thinking I have got to blog this stuff! (Enter laughter here) :D
